All classes are held Saturday afternoons at the Global Village Welcome Center, 4233 Lafayette Rd, Indianapolis, Indiana. You will be notified ahead of time if we will not have class that weekend. We typically take a break during the winter holidays (December) and for a few weeks in the summer.

 

Tahitian/Polynesian: 12:15-1:15 PM

Learn the basics of Tahitian dance as well as dances from Tahiti, New Zealand and Samoa. This class is for both children and adults. Men and women are all welcome. No previous experience is necessary.

 

Keiki (Children) Hula: 1:15-1:45 PM

This class is for children ages 4 to 11 years old. Learn basic hula steps, Hawaiian words, songs and basic modern hula dance. Boys and girls are both welcome. Parents are expected to be present with the child to help them focus during class and to help review what they have learned at home.

Beginning Hula: 1:45-2:45 PM

Learn the basic steps of hula, aspects of Hawaiian culture and basic hula dances. This class is meant for both children (4 years and older) and adults, and both men and women are welcome. The keiki class is expected to join for the first 30 minutes for the foundations of hula. No previous experience is necessary. All hula students are expected to attend this class, regardless of your experience level.

Intermediate Hula: 2:45-3:45

Dancers who have had considerable experience in hula - THIS CLASS IS BY INVITATION ONLY; YOU MUST AUDITION WITH THE LEAD INSTRUCTOR TO ATTEND THIS CLASS.
