Indy Hula’s 5th Annual Ho’ike is on Saturday, August 1, 2015!

Join us for another year of ‘ono (delicious) food, performances by keiki (kids), kane (men), and wahine (females), raffle prizes, and fun for the whole family! Indy Hula has been featured at the Indianapolis International Festival, Indianapolis 500 Parade, and at multiple private events throughout all of Indiana. Our annual ho’ike (exhibition show) is something we prepare all year for, and your chance to experience Indy Hula with new dances from the islands of Hawai’i, Tahiti, and Samoa. Aside from the wonderful performances, the evening includes a traditional Polynesian-style dinner, raffle prizes, and live music. Tickets are priced for keiki, adults, and seniors. A table may be reserved if ten seats are paid for in a single purchase. We sell out every year, so get your tickets before it’s too late! Details and ticket information below:

Indy Hula is a non-profit group based in Indianapolis.  We provide a unique experience for those interested in Polynesian song and dance.  We have individuals with backgrounds in modern and ancient Hawaiian hula, and the dances of Samoa, New Zealand, the Marquesas, Tahiti, and the Cook Islands.  Students of all ages and experience are welcome!

When time permits, special workshops will be made available to the students who have an interest in lei making, weaving, wood carving, making costumes, adornments, and implements… all of which can be used when you are prepared to perform, or to sell as fundraisers for Indy Hula.

Indy Hula continues to have the privilege to perform for City and State events such as the Indy500 Parade and the Indianapolis International Festival.  We also perform for non-profit groups such as the Nationalities Council of Indiana, at hula seminars in Indianapolis and Chicago, and at private or corporate celebrations.
